
Description: The antibody recognizes CD117/c-kit which is a member of the Tryosine Kinase Receptor family and is highly homologous to both PDGF and CSF-1 receptors. CD117 is useful in differentiating gastrointestinal stromal tumors for leiomyosarcomas which are histologically similar neoplasms with different biological behaviors as well as a marker for mast cell tumors.
